NASHIK, AUGUST 1, 2008: The end of July is that time of the year, in Nashik, when the novices of five religious congregations
(SDB, FMA, UMI, FHIC and SJ) and the minor seminarians of the Nashik Diocese look forward to an evening of togetherness. On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 75 novices and 15 formators gathered together at Salesian Training Institute, Nashik, for an "Evening with Mary". The Evening began at 6.00 pm with a simple and meaningful Prayer Service. The participants looked to Mary as a model, an inspiration and a guide on their path to sanctity. The Rector and Novice Master of Salesian Training Institute, Fr Solomon Rapol, then welcomed the guests and traced out an eight step method to sanctity. The next ninety minutes tested the participants' knowledge of Mary, Scripture and even general knowledge through fun filled and interesting Marian games.
The 30th of July… truly an evening with Mary and an evening of togetherness for those taking their first steps in religious life!
