BIS #1677 CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR

AHMEDNAGAR, DECEMBER 14, 2009: On December 12, 2009, the winds of Christmas blew gently into a small town named Ahmednagar in Maharashtra, India. A once in a lifetime event, the show was hosted by the children of Pumpkin House at the premises of St. Anne’s church. In the dim lights of the evening, the brightest moment for the people began with a prayer by the Parish priest Fr. Anton D’souza. The winds of Christmas were blowing gently and in no time, it turned into a mighty whirlwind as the children of Pumpkin House took over. From Christmas Carols to dancing on the tunes of traditional carols, the children seemed to take the crowd for a merry ride. “Sounds of the nations”, a gospel band jammed up onstage with the children caroling and dancing. As the evening saw its end, the people were left with tears in their eyes and deep warmth in their hearts. The joy of Christmas was born at Ahmednagar and it has started to spread all over. The event ended with the people wishing each other and the kids, spreading the joy of Christmas. As rightly said by one of the viewers, “The evening was a feast to the eyes”. An evening, when the Family of Pumpkin House gave the community a reason to smile, a reason to share and a reason to love. Indeed, Christmas is in the air.
