GUJARAT, JULY 5, 2010: On July 1, 2010 Thursday, Fr. Mayank Parmar sdb gives a session on ten steps to Loving yourself based on the book “You can heal your life” by Louis Hey to the five hundred prisoners of the Central Jail, Nadiad of Kheda District.
Sr. Fulmani L.D. has been officially appointed by the jailer to address the prisoners on various issues. She animates the inmates on every Thursday morning by taking up various topics. She takes the opportunity to bring in priests to address the inmates.
This time Fr. Mayank Parmar was the resource person to address the inmates. In an hour’s session Fr. Mayank stressed on how one can love oneself and become a doctor of one’s own life. Remember, the secret is loving yourself, so here goes are you willing to change? “Never postpone joy! Enjoy each second, so every moment becomes, the golden moment of your life!"She has requested Fr. Mayank to be one of her regular resource person for this ministry.
In fact our house felt that Amrut Dhara Animation Centre can take up this apostolate whenever required. Fr. Isaac the Director of Amrut Dahara agreed to be the resource person whenever he is available. Fr. Ivan the Rector said this ministry is in fact returning to Don Bosco.
Sr. Fulmani L.D. describes that she has formed special prayer groups in Ahmadabad who meets only to pray for these prisoners once a week and intending to form such kinds of groups all over Gujarat. She also intends to have some lawyer s for those prisoners who have nobody to guide and help them out. So that they can be free faster.
