VIRAR, JULY 30, 2010: On July 25, 2010, we the parishioners of Resurrection parish took the opportunity to express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to our parents on the occasion of the feast of Sts. Joaquim and Anne.
The celebration began with a solemn Eucharist at 6.30 pm. The catechism students of STD VII staged a play through which they expressed their love for their parents. In the homily, the parish priest exhorted the parents to offer right orientation to their children. He concluded by saying that the children belonged to God and not to the parents, and the parents have a big responsibility in front of God the way they bring up their children. After the final blessing, roses which is a symbol of Love, was given by each child to their respective parents.
