BIS #1964 ST JOSEPH'S FOSTERS INDIA'S OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: HINDI

WADALA, AUGUST 13, 2010: To enhance the spirit of Hindi, the Official Language of India, among the students, St Joseph’s High School, Wadala organized a Hindi Elocution Competition for Classes V to X on August 6, 2010. Mrs Suchita Davade, a Hindi teacher at Auxilium School Wadala, and Ms Iyona Lopes, who teaches in the Primary section of our School, were the judges.

The students displayed their flair for the language by reciting poems, narrating stories, and making speeches, which touched on sensitive and relevant issues – corruption, the adverse effects of advertisements and so on.
The judges announced that every participant was a winner as their participation fostered self-confidence. However, the following students are the “official” winners for their finesse in recitation, narration and speech:

Class V and VI
1st Place: Parth Mehta (VI B) and 2nd Place: Aayush Kamdar (VA)

Class VII and VIII
1st Place: Moksh Jain (VII B) and 2nd Place: Samarth Srivastava (VII A)

Class IX and X
1st Place: Jugal Shahdadpuri (X B) and 2nd Place: Harjeet Rajput (X A)
