NASHIK, OCTOBER 1, 2010: Fr Diego Nunes novel approach to work has carved a niche for Don Bosco on the Scholastic map of Nasik. He has the innate ability to reach out to everyone for the cause of overall development of students. He has already brought about many schools of Nasik together by organizing Mini Olympics and encouraging healthy competition amongst sports enthusiasts. He also feels that the past pupils should remain connected to their Alma Mater by participating as well as organizing various programmes from time to time. Taking inspiration from Fr. Diego the past pupils Association tries to give back to the School what they have received from it.
The past pupils organized an Inter School Quiz competition for six reputed Marathi Medium Schools of Nasik on September 28, 2010.Master kunal Pumpale, Rephan Catelino, Umesh Vishwakarma, Paritosh Bora and many other members of Alumina organized the Quiz competition. General knowledge, literature, language, History, Sports, opinion and discussion on Terrorism and insai as well as the visual round enraptured and enthralled everyone present in the hall. The awesome twosome, Kapil Aphale and Anurag Sonar were the anchors who kept the special audience, the students of Don Bosco thoroughly engaged throughout the competition. The quiz was conducted in Marathi, the first language of the participating schools. The teacher representative of Rachna Vidyalaya applauded the efforts of Fr. Diego and the past pupils.
The winning school team of Wagh Guruji Vidyalaya and runners up Rachna Vidyalaya were awarded cash prizes and Certificates by Fr Diego, the principal and the participating certificated were given to other teams by Fr Nelson.
