LONAVALA, AUGUST 1, 2011: A seminar entitled ‘Visionary Leadership’ was organised by the Management of Don Bosco Lonavala for all the Leaders and Managers of the institutes around Lonavala.
The seminar began with a prayer service. Fr. Cletus D’Souza the Rector of Don Bosco Lonavala was the opening speaker of the day. He stressed the need of inculcating ‘awareness’ in all of us. He said,”Vision without action is just a dream”. Insisting that a good leader needs to keep oneself updated thus inorder to lead, a good leader must read. He concluded his lecture by saying live, love, learn and leave a legacy.
Then the main speaker for the day, S. M. Sayed Additional D. G. P. shared some valuable insights on the theme of visionary leadership. He stressed that the society is in need of good leaders who will have good vision for the people of the society. Gautam Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Moses were a few examples quoted by Mr. Sayed. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr. Lorenzo D’Souza the Principal of Don Bosco High School and Jr. College, Lonavala. Fr. Cletus D’Souza handed Mr. Sayed a memento commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Don Bosco Lonavala.
“We are leaders but we have now realized the importance of having a vision’, said Master Jansen Vaz the house captain of Don Bosco Lonavala.
