CHOTTAUDEPUR, AUGUST 17, 2011: On August 16, 2011 after the Independence Day Celebrations died down the Parish of Muktidayini Mata (Our Lady of Liberation) Chhotaudepur had its Feast Day celebrations.

The Holy Eucharist had a grand entrance by a Rathwi colourful dance. Fr. Kenneth Pereira of Don Bosco Baroda was the main celebrant. Our Lady was a woman who transcended the statuesque of the women of her times, through all the challenges of the social, religious and political order; she brought about a mark in the feminist liberation struggle. Fr. Pereira urged the tribal children and parishioners to give proper place and importance to the education of the girl child.

The celebrations ended by cutting of the cake with all the parish council members.
