BORIVLI, SEPTEMBER 8, 2011: Bosco Boys Home saw yet another new development works in Automobile Training Academy which was blessed by Fr. Michael Fernandes, Salesian Provincial of Mumbai Province on September 6, 2011 at 7: 00 pm.

The newly developed Automobile Training Academy incorporates Initial training in Mechanical Repairs, Auto Electrical, Car A/C, Denting, Painting, Wheel Alignment/ Balancing and Car wash and grooming. The advanced Training consists in specialisation of the specific skills. The duration of the training ranges from three months, six months and twelve months. Approximate job placement is guaranteed. The Automobile academy also houses the Two Wheeler department. It is a multi-brand service station. Besides maintenance and repairs the station can also take up modification jobs.
Thanks to Don Bosco Tech that funded the equipment two years ago and a sincere word of appreciation to Fr. Provincial for his approval to go ahead with constructing the workstations for training. Approximately eighty six students are undergoing training in the Academy. In a couple of months we will increase the intake to approximately hundred and fifty.
After the inauguration followed the celebration of Fr. Issu’s birthday, who saw to the renovation and funding of the Chapel and the Reception Lobby. Great things happen when everyone works together as a team. Fr. Provincial and twenty six confreres from in and around Mumbai stayed to celebrate Fr. Issu’s birthday. It was an enjoyable fraternal celebration.
