INAUGURATION OF NEW HOSTEL BUILDING AT FATEHPURA

FATEHPURA, OCTOBER 24, 2011: October 22, 2011 was another golden moment for the youth of Fatehpura, Chhotaudepur who got to see their new hostel building ready. This youth hostel building was blessed by Fr. Michael Fernandes our Provincial and inaugurated by Ms. Rosewitha Maus the Project Director and PRO of Jugrend Dritte Welt-BMZ, Germany our funding agency for this project. Amidst all the youth, well-wishers and teachers and also past pupils, Fr. Savio Silveira who was instrumental to get this underway stressed the need to have a safe atmosphere for study and residence for the budding youth of the villages to get an opportunity to study to attain a better future. He said it was a dream come true for the pioneering missionaries of Fr. Elson and Fr. Byron to bring better staying facilities for the youth of the area.

We are proud to have another milestone in Chhotaudepur for the tribal youth who in the future will also get vocational training and career counselling offered at the hostel.
