MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 08, 2011: To commemorate National Children's Day, Don Bosco Balprafulta, in association with Cinemax Entertainment Ltd organized the screening of the movie 'Ra One' on November 7, 2011 for marginalized children from the slums. About hundred vulnerable children in Mumbai got the chance to celebrate Children's Day and voice their views and opinions on their rights.
The special screening was simultaneously conducted by Cinemax across seven different properties including Malad, Baroda, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangaluru, Cochin, Guwahati in collaboration with the Don Bosco centers of these cities.
Fr. Brian who was representing Don Bosco Balprafulta said "With the help of Cinemax India Ltd, we were able to give these children an opportunity to enjoy their childhood. One could see from the delight in the eyes of these children how much they enjoyed watching the movie."
The children enjoyed the experience of wearing 3D glasses to watch the show and of riding the escalators. For them this movie afforded them an unforgettable lesson in how good triumphs over evil.
Through this initiative Don Bosco Balprafulta aims to create awareness among the people who play a part in the developmental process of children either directly or indirectly.  It will also help to disseminate information to all sections of society on the rights of children and to motivate people to come forward to help children in difficult situations.
During an awareness campaign scheduled to be launched between November 14 and November 20, Cinemax Entertainment Ltd is also helping to create awareness about Child Rights and Child Labour by putting up posters and banners. During this week, there will be a screening of a short fifteen second film in hundred and eleven screens across India about Child Rights, which will be played before the start of every movie.
