BORVLI, DECEMBER 08, 2011: The Sports Day of Gnyanodaya Remedial Program, Borivali, was held on November 30, 2011 on Don Bosco School grounds.  The event was organized by the coordinator of the School, Mrs. Rose Nazareth and the Principal Fr. George Carlos, who was also the Chief Guest.
The students assembled in the school premises at 2.00 p.m. with great excitement.  The students were divided into four teams and were led to the ground.  The events began from 2.30 p.m onwards with the Sportsman's oath and a short prayer recited by Mrs. Rose.  Sir Rossy and the staff took charge at the starting point, and finishing line, and encouraged the participants.
The afternoon began with the 100 meters and 200 meters race for boys and girls followed by long jump for the boys. The students participated with a lot of excitement in the various races like skipping, book balancing, three legged race, lemon and spoon race, and sack race. The most exciting event was the tug-of-war which was held separately for the boys and girls, which was a treat to watch.  A game of bombing the cities was organized for the staff by none other than the Principal himself, who also sponsored the attractive gifts.
All winners were awarded certificates by the Principal and teachers.  The students felt proud to go up the victory stand and receive their Certificates.  The exciting wonderful day came to an end at 5.00 p.m. by thanking the organizers and singing the school anthem.
