LONAVLA, JANUARY 02, 2012: Today was a memorable day in the chronicles of Don Bosco Lonavala as the Yester- boarders of this Apostolic school gathered here to celebrate their Alma Mater. The day began with the past pupils and Salesians coming from all over Mumbai, Pune, Goa.  Some found their way from Australia and America.  Later during the day the reunion once again reunited around the Altar of God for the Solemn Eucharist.  The Principal celebrant Rev. Fr. Cletus D'Souza, Rector of Don Bosco Lonavala invited the Past Pupils to be not just past pupils but to be GOLDEN Past Pupils. Being the feast of the Holy Family, he thanked God for the wonderful families that Don Bosco Lonavala has churned out through the past pupils.  It was very nice to hear the past pupils sing the hymns we sung in those yester years in voices.
Later, the past pupils relived their moments in the refectory dining on the very same tables with the same plates.  The lunch was followed by a game of housie and the game was played with much enthusiasm as it would have been when they were boys.  T-shirts, mugs, key-chains were part of the prizes for the housie and were also part of the merchandise for the day. The day came to an end over a hot cup of tea and farewell wishes.  The past pupils shared nostalgic moments visiting different places of the house of Lonavala.
The day was a memorable one for many who came.  The numbers also included ten Salesians among whom were Fr. Paul D'Souza, Vice-Provincial of the Konkan Province, Fr. Wilfred D'Souza Provincial Delegate of the Salesian Family and other distinguished guests. "Here I had many of my first moments hence I will always cherish this place," said a grateful Past Pupil of Don Bosco Lonavala.
