MATUNGA, FEBRUARY 27, 2012:  On Sunday, February 19, 2012 one hundred and seventy eight Sunday School children of Std. VII and VIII came together with sixteen of their teachers. They met together at Don Bosco Primary School Hall, Matunga for their Faith Celebration Day. Seven different parishes of North (East) Mumbai Deanery were represented [Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Our Lady of Dolours, Fatima, St. Paul's, St. Dominic Savio and Holy Cross].

The programme began at 9.00 am with a meaningful Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Lloyd Rodrigues sdb wherein in his homily he spoke about having great 'faith' especially when we see no way ahead.  This was followed by the presentation of projects that the children had studied about during the year. These were well demonstrated by various forms of skits, power points, songs, poems, etc.  The projects were: Mass media, Communication, Consumerism, Pilgrimages, Made for Each Other, Global Warming and the Mithi River. After a snack break the children were mixed up and divided into fifteen groups for an interesting Quiz session.  The children were very attentive and actively participated in responding to the questions asked.  Ms. Sheryl Dalgado was the compère for the programme.
The day was well spent and every one appreciated the magnificent efforts of the teachers and students.
