WEB DESIGNING COURSE AT DBDS- MATUNGA

Valerian Henriques

MATUNGA, APRIL 07, 2012: A basic Web Designing course was conducted by Don Bosco Development Society, Matunga for fourteen youth who were interested in learning this skill, which has great market value today. The goal of this five day course (April 2- 7) was to equip the students with the basics of web designing and to introduce them to the latest web technologies. At the end of the course, each of the students did a mini project of designing a website of their choice. During the short valedictory function held at the close of the week long training, Fr. Ajoy Fernandes, the Vice-Provincial, checked the websites created by the students and gave away the certificates. Addressing the students, the Vice Provincial warmly complemented Bro. Leon Ratinam who had conducted this course. He said that it was indeed praiseworthy that within so short a time, Bro. Leon Ratinam had managed to train the students to a good level of proficiency in web designing. He also expressed his hope that the students would put to good use the training they had received.

The students were appreciative of the fact that they had learnt many new things in the world of web designing and looked forward to develop their skills in the future. With the first batch completing the course successfully, the next batch will commence their course on April 09, 2012.
