SUMMER CLUB SMURFS AND SUPER MASTI SUMMER

WADALA, APRIL 24, 2012: We the Parish Team at Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala that consist of all the fathers along with the committee that is in charge of the youth animation came together for a month  in order to rejuvenate the spirit of youth. This was planned to make available to the youngsters an opportunity to grow spiritually as well as spend time together to have an experience full of fun by way of games and other educative activities.


The inauguration of the SUMMER CLUB SMURFS (SCS) for the children between the age of eight to fifteen on April 23, 2012 in the morning and SUPER MASTI SUMMER (SMS) between the age of sixteen to thirty in the evening. We had Fr. Vivian D'Souza sdb declaring the clubs open by cutting the ribbon and giving us the message: No Man Can Live as an Island, the aim – to grow in love for each other by way of team spirit, and respect and the purpose – to make friends, stay united to build a happy family, a strong and committed community.


The inauguration commenced with a pray service and the lighting of the lamp, a symbol and sign of reverence to God, Mary and Don Bosco. After which we had enthuse creative animated games by the brothers and volunteers of the clubs. This made the members sweat their spirit from morn till dusk. We concluded the day for the SCS with the praying of the rosary and a good thought and for the SMS we had a good night.


At the end of the day, we Salesians are pompous to say that we are Sons of Don Bosco for the response that the (children and youth) clubs offered us was a happy and a positive one.

VIVA DON BOSCO!!! VIVA OUR LADY OF DOLOURS!!! VIVA SCS and SMS!!!
