CRICKET PREMIER LEAGUE AT JYOTI MATA- VIRAR

VIRAR, MAY 28, 2012: Jyoti Mata Parish, Virar organized a flood light Box Cricket tournament for its parishioners on May 26- 27, 2012. The purpose of this tournament was to get all the parishioners together and grow in unity. The teams were divided according to the areas. Each team consisted of eight players namely a married man and a woman, two children less than fifteen years of age, two unmarried males and females.


Most of the match's including the final was nail biting finishes. The final was played between Nityasahek and Fatima. Chasing Nityasah's target of thirty seven runs in four overs was not an easy task for Fatima. Nityasahek showed a lot of discipline in bowling and fielding that helped them to clinch the title.


There was a lot of positive energy vibrating in the parish for last two days. All the parishioners were happy and appreciated the efforts put in by the Salesians and the youth group who organized this tournament. This was indeed a big asset in bringing the parish together under one umbrella, to show our togetherness and grow in unity.
