BIS # 3580 IN SYNC WITH MARY IN FAITH

LONAVLA, JULY 25, 2013: Amidst great excitement and enthusiasm the apostolic boys and Aspirants of Don Bosco Lonavla inaugurated the Marian month on the 16th of July,2013. The theme for the month is, 'In Sync with Mary in Faith,' which is parallel to the theme of the High School and Junior College for the year. There is a special emphasis laid on faith, on account of the 'Year of Faith' celebrations in the Catholic Church. Six teams were formed for the month with their names based on the different apparitions of the Blessed Virgin.

For the inaugural ceremony the captains of the teams took the statue of our lady in procession with the team members following suit. When at the venue of the inauguration the captains were officially installed by the Prefect of Studies in a solemn prayer service which followed the inauguration of the Marian month. The President of the organizing sodality summarized the activities and events for the month which included animated rosaries, various competitions, Marian pilgrimage, Marian Nite, a Quiz and an Academy. All the activities and events are oriented towards increasing devotion to Mary and also increasing faith in her.
