WADALA – MUMBAI, JULY 25, 2013: Savion Youth Movement, Antop Hill Wadala along with Don Bosco Youth Services animated TAIZE prayer on 21st July 2013 for the youth of North Mumbai Deanery.187 youth came together to worship the Lord and sing praises to him.  This event was held in preparation for the Bicentenary of the birth of St. John Bosco and also as part of the celebration of the year of faith.

The worship began with mass celebrated by Fr. Ajoy Fernandes sdb, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Mumbai at 10.30am. In his homily Fr. Ajoy encouraged the young people to be contemplative in action. His sharing was based on the Gospel of the day and on the life of Don Bosco. TAIZE helped the young people to introspect upon their own lives. The most touching moment was the veneration of the cross. One could see youngsters kneeling at the cross and spending time in prayer. As the hymn goes, "At the cross I bow my knees, where your blood was shed for me. There's no greater love than this." The youngsters indeed proved their love for Jesus.

This was a great initiative taken by the youth of St. Dominic Savio Church Antop Hill and Don Bosco Youth Services. The melodious DBYS choir helped the youngsters sing praises to God. This initiative has indeed helped the youth, during this year of faith in their spiritual journey towards our Lord and Master Jesus.
