AHMEDNAGAR, AUGUST 2, 2013: After preparing well for the feast with the nine days novena; the parish of St. Anne's celebrated its feast on 28th July, 2013. Fr. Joe Gaikwad, SJ – the editor of the Marathi magazine 'Niropya' was the main celebrant.

The church was full and over flowing with the faithful gathered to celebrate their parish feast. There was hustle and bustle in the air accompanied with spiritual aroma that filled the church. There were around ten priests to concelebrate with Fr. Joe Gaikwad being the main celebrant. He preached well on the role of the parents in the modern generation to bring-up their children in faith. The melodious parish choir filled the church with heavenly melodies thus helping the faithful to pray better.

After the mass there were snacks distributed to all the faithful and then the cultural morning began. This programme contained felicitation of all the priests and religious especially those who are new in this region were given special welcome. There was also a special felicitation for all the students who have passed their SSC / HSC / Graduation or have obtained other degrees. The Don Bosco Pathpedi gave scholarships to some deserving students.

The fun and frolic flowed after the felicitations were done. The cultural morning contained lot of dances and other entertainment; ranging from Hindi to English to Spanish. All went back home spiritually nourished and refreshed. The highlight of the day was the weather condition which kept supporting the entire programme without disturbance. The down pour of rain was witnessed as soon as the programme was over.
