MATUNGA-MUMBAI, DECEMBER 11, 2013The Staff and students of Don Bosco, Matunga, enthusiastically celebrated Management Day on 3rd December, the feast of St. Francis Xavier, patron of the Salesian Mumbai province.

The students of Std. VIII, IX, and X and the staff assembled in the gymnasium and the management was escorted by the office bearers.

The felicitation program began with a prayer moment.  The students then addressed the management in the form of a song. The boys put up a skit depicting the role of the management and thanking them for the same.

The Rector Fr. Wilfred D'Souza, was asked to share his views. He congratulated the students for putting up the program, he also thanked all those who helped in the mission of the management – the teaching and non-teaching staff, the students and their parents.

Thereafter the Scouts put up a traditional Rajasthani dance which mesmerized everyone. The Principal Fr. Bosco D'Mello thanked the Scouts and all the teachers who ably coordinated the organizing of this function. The final item was the skit on Gandhi and his life. This was followed by the Vice Principal Fr. Roy sharing a humorous story and thanking everyone for all their love and support. The last event was a surprise. A cake was brought and the management was invited to cut the cake. This ended the first part of the celebrations.

The management then went to the primary section where they were felicitated by the students with a bouquet of flowers, a song and address. At 12.30 p.m. the staff gathered in the Primary School Hall to felicitate the management. The management entered to music and confetti. They were then crowned with flowers and were escorted to cut the cake. This was followed by snacks and while it was being served, the teachers were tested for their knowledge of the three members of the management. The teachers presented a token of love to the management. The 'Mando' was sung by the Primary teachers. The Principal then thanked the teachers for all their hard work and love towards the management. The three-tier celebration ended with lunch.

The students and the staff truly showed their love to the management in a fantastic way.
