BIS # 3854 FRS CHARLIN AND SHEKAR CELEBRATE THE EUCHARIST AT BHINGAR

BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, JANUARY 13, 2014: Newly Ordained Salesian Priests, Frs. Charlin Chandran and Shekar Mariadass, , ordained on 21 st December, 2014 at the  Shrine of Don Bosco's Madonna, Matunga, visited Bhingar on 12th January 2014. They celebrated their first mass in Marathi at the 8.00 am at St John the Baptist Church, Bhingar, Ahmednagar.
They were accompanied by Fr. Osborne Furtado the Vocation Promoter. Fr. Osborne preached the homily on the gift of Baptism and narrated the story of St Thomas Moore, as an example of Fidelity to the Catholic Sacrament, when faced by conflict with the King Henry VIII.
Fr. Charlin was the main celebrant. The Parish Priest, Fr. Nelson Falcao saw to all the logistics of the event. The senior youth sang at the Mass under the guidance of Mr. Kaustuk. The faithful kissed the newly anointed hands of the 'Ordinandi'  after Mass. This event served as an opportunity to promote vocations for the church and society.
