UMRETH-GUJARAT, JUNE 9, 2014: The Umreth Deanery organized a Career guidance seminar on June 1, which aimed at helping students become aware of the variety of educational and career choices available in the world and assist them in discovering the most suitable options for them individually. The event began with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Umreth Parish presided over by Fr Mayank Parmar sdb, the ICYM Coordinator of the Umreth Deanery.

With the help of powerpoint presentations Mr. Francis Canis Macwan, the resource person of the day explained the various options in Arts, Commerce, Science and also Vocational courses. There were two sessions that focussed on 'choosing the right career'.  In the first part of the talk, the youth were motivated to study hard through live examples taken from the society. In the second part of the talk, Mr. Vikas Parmar on behalf of Don Bosco, Chinchwad presented the various courses available for the drop out youth at chinchwad, Pune. Then, Mr. Bharat from Rudan shared some tips in starting their own business. Mr. Francis then answered the questions raised by the participants.

There were fifty seven youth who participated in the seminar. The whole event was financed by Our Lady of Fatima and Vincent De Paul group. St. Vincent De Paul youth conference and Don Bosco Kapadvanj made the seminar a successful one with their hard work and dedicated service of getting the youth together at Umreth for this event.
