by Bro. Bryce Fernandes

LONAVLA-PUNE, SEPTEMBER 13, 2014: On September 4, 2014 the School and Junior College of Don Bosco Lonavla began their animation for the month of September, the theme being 'Don Bosco: the Educator'. The XI Commerce class who was in-charge of the month decided to focus on the topic of 'Humanization through Education' which would mean, "Becoming more human through Education, and letting education transform us into living as better human inter-relational beings."

The first programme began at 8.45 for Std. IX to XII while the V to VIII came to witness the assembly at 10:00 a.m. They were familiarized with the person of Don Bosco and the Salesians. After which there was a short prayer service invoking God's presence. The short skit which followed depicted the different ways in which Don Bosco approached the boys of his times, who later became his successors. There were three instances portrayed to inspire educators, to touch the lives of their pupils to whom they are sent to and for students to love and obey their educators.

Towards the end, the boys and girls danced and sang the song of Don Bosco and later the various activities and competitions for the month where announced so that the entire school and Junior College would be attuned and be prepared for the upcoming events of the month.
