PUNE-MAHARASHTRA, SEPTEMBER 24, 2014: The community of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Pune organized an inter-parish Marian Nite on  September 21, 2014 for the youth of the parishes of St.Joseph, Ghorpuri ,Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Tadiwala, Sacred Heart, Yerwada, St Anthony, Yerwada, Immaculate Conception, City Parish, St. Anne's Solapur, St.Thresa of Avila, Panchaud, St. Anthony, Shivaji Nagar and Mother Teresa, Hadapsar of the Poona diocese together with St John, Bhingar of the diocese of Nashik along with the Jesus Youth.

The event was organized as part of the preparation for the bicentenary of the birth of Don Bosco. Fr. Nelson Carvalho, the rector of the institution welcomed the gathering and felt proud that two hundred and twenty youngsters were part of this event. The Marian evening began with a very meaningful and prayerful adoration animated by the Jesus Youth. The intentions placed before were for the youth gathered for the grand evening. A very joyful atmosphere could be witnessed as the youth actively participated in quiz rounds and puzzles given to them.

The evening culminated with the youth of St. Anthony's Shivaji Nagar being crowned the Marian Knights. Br. Jacob informed the gathering that they were the Soldiers of Christ and they were to guard the sons of Mary and increase her devotion to all. Dennis, a youth from St. Joseph's parish, Ghorpuri thanked the community of Don Bosco Youth Centre for the efforts put in, in organizing the grand event. Kudos to Br. Jacob and the other brothers for the hardwork put in, in making this event a successful one!
