BIS # 4231 DON BOSCO LONAVLA CELEBRATES CHILDREN'S DAY

LONAVLA-PUNE, NOVEMBER 19, 2014: Children's day was celebrated at Don Bosco Lonavla on November 14, 2014. The students were allowed to wear colour dresses. It was held in two sessions V-X and XI and XII. For XI and XII standard students, the session started with prayer service at 9.30 a.m. followed by inter-house dance competition. Br. Bryce Fernandes and Mr. Abhijeet Kadu judged the competition. The students performed their best. This was followed by the Animal and Bird show at 11.00 a.m. Fr. Solomon Rapol, the Rector, thanked the many people who made this day possible.


For the students of standards V-X, various games were arranged like football-cricket, Box-cricket, American Flag, Dodge ball, Square ball, etc. These games began at 10.30 a.m and went up to 12.00 noon. The games were followed by the Animal and Bird show.


The programme was organized by Mrs. Pournima and Mrs. Swati under the guidance of the Principal, Fr. George Carlos.
The Apostolic boys and Aspirants enjoyed an evening of animated games conducted by the brothers. The Children's Day celebration for the Aspirantate came to a close with the screening of a movie.
