The Mela began at the MCJ residence as the children from four bastis viz., Gadge Maharaj basti, Kawadewadi basti, Madari basti, Darodemala basti and marched in unison shouting slogans to save water. As the children reached the gates of the venue they were handed breakfast packets.

The children learnt to make paper flowers and beautifully decorated plates. Lunch was served at mid-day, after which the children participated in the fete games organized by the brothers. After an enthralling hour of fun and competition, the children were entertained through a puppet show. The chief guest, Mrs. Vinita Wagaskar, the local corporator arrived later amidst funfare and drama. She was welcome along with her family members.
