NERUL-MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 24, 2014: 'Value education programme is simply a matter of developing appropriate behavior and habits involving inculcation of certain virtues and habits. A flower is that part of a plant that is often brightly colored, that usually lasts a short time and develops seed or fruit. The flower is God's finest workmanship in the world. It is his finest gift to the mankind.  Flowers spread joy and beauty around the world. Some flowers like roses are very beneficial for our health.'

A value education programme on 'Flowers' was presented on November 20, 2014, in the ground floor assembly hall. It was organized by Tr. Archana Rao, the class teacher of Pre Preparatory-A. A total of thirty four students participated in the dance, skit and ramp walk. The programme focused on spreading awareness about the fact that 'Greed brings grief.'

The primary objective of the programme was to instill the value, not to be greedy and to be accountable for any demands. Apart from the above mentioned value, various flowers in the flower show symbolized several values such as: ASTER- SYMBOL OF TRUST AND GRATITUDE, ROSE-SYMBOL OF LOVE, LILY- SYMBOL OF HAPPINESS, DAISY- SYMBOL OF BEAUTY AND COMPASSION, JASMINE-SYMBOL OF GRACE, MARIGOLD –SYMBOL OF PATIENCE, SUNFLOWER- SYMBOL OFSTRENGTH AND ADORATION, LOTUS- SYMBOL OF PURITY.

The flower show was introduced in the value education programme and was appreciated by both teachers and parents. Students gained confidence and there was a remarkable progress in their communication skills. Fr. Principal, Fr. Manager and Supervisor ma'am admired and appreciated the programme.
