MUMBAI, SEP 2, 2015: Don Bosco High School, Matunga has adopted Design For Change (D.F.C.) model in the current academic year, to help spread awareness about the judicious use of electricity, reduce honking outside the school premises, reduction of litter and to highlight the negative effects of abusive language.

Design for change is a movement that cultivates the 'I Can' mindset in a child. This 'I Can' spirit helps empower children and gives them an opportunity to express their own ideas for a better world and put them into action.

The programme stresses that children are not helpless and can use a four-pronged plan, by  incorporating a 'Feel-Imagine-Do-Share' approach to help introduce change.

The Social Service students of standard eight, under the guidance of their teachers, Bindu Keny, Gracy Gonsalves, Selma Gonsalves and Karuna Dadipogu identified key areas they wish to bring about the change in, as per the Design for Change directives.
