MUMBAI, JAN 23, 2015: The past pupil of Don Bosco High School, Matunga Unit celebrated their annual 'Alumni R U Day'- on January 16 - where together with their families, they bonded with old batch-mates, faculty and the Salesians that nurtured them in their growing years.

Over 450 ex-students from the batches of 1958, 1960, 1962, 1972, 1975, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1993, 1995, 2013 were present for the occasion; to rekindle good old school memories. The event began with a welcome address by the rector of Don Bosco High School, Father Wilfred D'souza. President of Don Bosco Alumni, Matunga unit, Jayesh Chandan also joined in.

This was followed by a performance by bhangra dancers. All present then grooved to the beats of a DJ. The event ended with a  bonhomie over an evening meal, reminiscing about all the pranks, punishments and many other unforgettable episodes.

The event was painstakingly organised through the efforts of the members of the Don Bosco Alumni, Matunga unit under the leadership of Chandan. The funds were raised through generous contributions by donors and sponsors. The proceeds will go towards the Don Bosco Society, the school boarding, Shelter Don Bosco, Anmol and other projects under the care of the Salesians.
