BIS #4947 SVP CELEBRATES 17th ANNIVERSARY

MUMBAI, OCT 4, 2016: On October 2, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) of Saint John Bosco Parish, Borivli celebrated its 17th anniversary.


The Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 5.30 pm by Father Baptist Monteiro, the spiritual advisor of the SVP. In his homily, Father Monteiro recalled the dedicated work done by the members of the SVP. 

 

He spoke about their visits to the homes of the adopted families and the aid provided to these families, which are then reported at the weekly meetings. The SVP members also renewed their Vincentian promise during Holy Mass.

 

It was followed by a get-together for the benefactors, beneficiaries and the members. Father Monteiro and the president of the area council north west two, Philip Rodrigues addressed the gathering. There we lots of games and prizes. The highlight of the evening was housie and dinner.

 

The parish invoked the Lords blessings on those gathered as they bring His love to the poor.
