BIS #5151 THE PARLIAMENT AT ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL WADALA

MUMBAI, JULY 12, 2017: The Prime Minister, his deputy and a host of cabinet ministers took their oath in a grand investiture ceremony, held at St. Joseph's High School, Wadala on July 7, in the presence of Chief Guest Kalyani Armugam - principal of SIES High School, Wadala.

 

The ceremony began with the ushering in of the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour - Father Godfrey D'Sa, the principal, Father Vivian D'Souza, Rector and parish priest, Father Rosario Vaz, administrator and Father Nelson Falcao, cathecatical coordinator.

 

Nakhwa Faaiz, from standard ten, was appointed Prime Minister, Rajdeep More, the Deputy Prime Minister and other ministers holding portfolios such as Home ministry, ministry of Public Relations, Cultural ministry, Sports ministry, Environmental ministry, ministry of Community Work. National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Road Safety Patrol (RSP) were also appointed.

 

 "A leader lights the lamp of ethics, affection, determination, efficacy and respect. Congratulations to all the leaders. God has chosen you to serve your fellow beings. From this moment you have become responsible to serve your school without any bias and partiality. Respect yourself and respect others. Be an exemplary example for others to emulate," Armugam said.

 

Father D'sa said that Armugam has been instrumental in introducing the parliament concept in her institution as well. "It's a matter of pride to have Mrs Armugam in our midst today. An ardent educator and a firm believer of woman empowerment. Mrs Armugam has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards and accolades and has given long years of service in the pursuit of education in shaping young minds to develop into great personalities," he said.
