KARJAT, FEB 1, 2018: Student and trainees of Don Bosco Yuva Sanstha (DBYS) in Karjat participated in a quiz competition on the life and history of Don Bosco on January 30.
Students were divided into four groups and they prepared themselves by studying the hundred odd questions and answers presented to them on the life and times of the Founder and Father of youth- Saint John Bosco. Brother Alex Carvalho was the Quiz Master.
Each round of the quiz had different formats and points allotted. The first round had ten points allotted, the second 15 points, with the possibility of a pass option. In the third round, each of four participants answered ten questions and received ten marks each and a total of forty points.
The fourth round was the true and false round, with ten points up for grabs. In the rapid fire round, ten questions were asked and points assigned to each correct answer. The buzzer round took place on mobile phones with the first ring getting to answer.
The next round was the double or quits round with thirty marks allotted. The one with the right answer, bagged sixty points and the last round was a general round with ten points allotted.
The welders group bagged 250 points in total, while the Refrigeration and Air conditioning group claimed 190 points, the MGL group got 80 points and the electricians got 40 points.
