MUMBAI, JULY 11, 2018: The Provincial, Father Godfrey D'Souza, and his team visited Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivli on June 26 to install Father Corlis Gonsalves, as the new Rector.
The programme began with a brief meeting and the reading of the community animation plan for the year 2018-2019. The confreres shared some ideas about the present situation of the house and future possibilities to explore.
The Rector of BBH, Father Gonsalves, then welcomed the gathering and thanked all present for their presence. After the meeting, the Provincial and his team along with other confreres accompanied Father Gonsalves to the Chapel, where he was officially installed as the Rector of the community. The Provincial, in his homily, urged all confreres to be like the Good Shepherd, loving and kind to others and be ever ready to serve others.
The boys also had a small felicitation programme for the Provincial and his team. They sang a melodious hindi welcome song, and read a beautiful address, thanking Father D'Souza for giving them a new Rector. They further assured Father Gonsalves of their prayers and wishes. In his message to the boys, Father D'Souza stressed on the importance of being happy and told them to "Run, Jump and Play but not Sin."
