SAVEDI, MAY 23, 2019: About 16 boys from Uttan, Aurangabad, and Ahmednagar attended a month-long English speaking camp on the theme 4G – Gather, Grasp, Glow and Grow organised by Don Bosco Bhavan, Savedi from April 22 to May 22, 2019.
The youngsters attending the camp were young adults between the age group 16 to 20 years. The primary purpose of the summer club was to groom the youngsters in the English language, to make them good leaders and contribute to society at large.
The youth, during the course of the English-speaking camp, have also learnt to make new friends, work in a team and care for the environment. A picnic to Pune with special halts at Katraj zoo and the Aga Khan palace developed their leadership skills by working together, praying together and playing in true sportsmanship.
The children have been in contact with Don Bosco Savedi through their parish priests and advertisements in various magazines. The organisers that hope the seed of love for language and goodness sown during the camp days will blossom at the completion of the camp.
Father Vishwas Pereira, Rector of Don Bosco Savedi, was the mastermind behind the English speaking camp. Brother Bless and Brother Joyston were coordinating and conducting various activities for the 4G English camp.
“It was indeed a wonderful camp and beautiful time spent at Savedi,” Maclean Vadlea, a camp participant, said.
