AHMEDNAGAR, DECEMBER 23, 2009: “Go into the highways and byways and invite all…” The Parish Priest, Anton D’Souza took these words to heart and invited the neighbours who live around the St Anne’s Church Compound, Ahmednagar to celebrate Christmas on December 22, 2009. Vivek, a Hostel boy compered the program. Arjun, led the dance team of three to the sounds of Jai Ho. Fr. Anton gave a Christmas message stating that our neighbors are our most valued friends at Christmas, while Officials come and go. Hence this season we have decided to show how special our neighbors who stay around our compound wall are to us. About 75 neighbors, inclusive of the 12 hostelites, participated in the get-together and left joyful after a simple snack and tea served on the occasion. Christmas Carols were sung by Catechist Pradeep and Choir Mistress Ida and team. The presence of the hostel boys made the function a new precedent to remember and a fresh tradition to preserve.
