BORIVLI, JANUARY 4, 2011: It gave us immense joy and pleasure as we welcomed in our midst the two newly ordained priests from our province, Fr. Oscar Tuscano and Fr. Ashwin Makwan. They celebrated their first mass here, at don Bosco’s Borivli, for the catholic boys of our school. How nice it felt to hear them proclaim and profess their love for Christ and the missions that they have undertaken! The small converse that they gave the boys was truly motivating.
As was told to us, Fr. Oscar comes from a very beautiful village, Nandakhal, which is nestled in the by lanes of Vasai. Belonging to a deeply religious family that already consists of three priests and two nuns; he too expressed his desire to join the congregation. Today, it’s a dream come true for him. Having worked in the mission state of Albania for seven years, he is ready to face much more difficulties in the name of Christ.
And for Fr. Ashwin, it was not much different. He comes from a small town in Gujarat. His parents are god- fearing people and seeing these qualities in them prompted Ashwin to join the Salesians. He is all set and ready to take up the street boys’ project called”Snehalaya” in Gujarat.

We wish these young and energetic priests our best wishes and pray to the almighty to keep them under his care. May he guide them through the dark days of their life.
