DIVYADAAN-NASHIK, NOVEMBER 09, 2012 :  The community of Divyadaan celebrated the community day on  November 08, 2012. The theme chosen for this year’s community day was United in Love to Radiate God. The community had three days of spiritual preparation with specific themes. These three days were dedicated to pray for different intentions during our prayer moments.

On the first day the community prayed for our vocation, second day for our parents, benefactors and all those who support us in this way of life and on the third day all the staff members of the community of Divyadaan. This was a wonderful spiritual preparation to celebrate our togetherness.

The community day celebration began in the morning at 7:30 am with animated morning prayers, which was followed by clicking of community photo for the year 2012-2013. After breakfast all of us enjoyed the animated games and the company of one another on the games field. After lunch we played the housie organized by our brother assistant Cl. Mylin.

After playing housie we had time to prepare for the mass and the evening get-together. We all had some work to do in this regard. The Holy Eucharist was concelebrated by our Rector Fr. Savio D’Souza with all the other priests of the community. Fr. Rector during his homily on the occasion of our community day emphasized on the importance  of each member in the community. He spoke about the shepherd who guides his flock forever; he said that all of us are going to be shepherds one day in our life. Fr. Rector also thanked all the Priests of the community and Br. Mylin the assistant of Divyadaan.

The meaningful Eucharistic celebration was followed by the community get-together. The toast raised by Fr. Tony Dsouza put us into a lively mood. The gathering was enriched by colourful and creative programs by different batches. After dinner the day ended with the night prayers and goodnight talk given by Fr. Rector wherein he exhorted each member to carry on living in the spirit of unity.

This day Divyadaan inaugurated the new audio-visual hall in the academic block. Fr. Rector presided over the short ceremony and thanked the principal and the administrator for their hard work in realizing this hall for the academic purpose.
