WALVANDA-MAHARASHTRA,              FEBRUARY 21, 2014: Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS)            has organized several career guidance programmes for the High            School, Higher Secondary School and Ashram            School children in Jawhar and Mokhada Talukas of Thane            district. In every programme about 100 to 200 children were            present along with their teachers and headmaster. In some of            the villages the Sarpanch as well as the members of the Gram            Panchayat were present for the programme.
            The programme was planned and implemented under the guidance            of Fr. Anaclete D’Mello, Director BSVS. Mr. Dayanand Patil            conducted two to three hours session in each school on career            guidance. Special emphasis was given to the careers which            required average eligibility criteria. Details about various            reservation opportunities were also provided to the children.            
            The outcome of these seesions was very encouraging. Several            school headmasters told to BSVS that they would have this            programme again in their schools. The members of the Gram            Panchayat were also very enthusiastic about these sessions.            The children were very positive about the sessions. They            listened attentively and asked several questions.
            The entire programme was very useful for the target group.
