BIS # 4128 TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION AT SAVEDI

SAVEDI-AHMEDNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 10, 2014: The celebration of teacher's day at Savedi began with the Holy Eucharist on September 5, 2014 at 8:45 a.m, where all the teachers and catholic students were invited to take part.  The liturgy was animated by the students which focussed on thanking and praying for teachers. The teachers were then taken to their respective classes.


At 10:30 a.m, a cultural programme was organized by the students of standards X and XII. Fr. Francis Fernandes, the principal of the school inaugurated the programme by garlanding the frames of Jesus, Don Bosco, Mother Teresa, Dr. Sarvapali Radhkrishnan.  The students of std. VI welcomed the teachers with a welcome dance, which was followed by a speech given by Master Sandesh Thribhuvan painting a beautiful picture of the qualities of Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishnan. Teacher Puspha Sagalgire too gave an inspiring speech connecting life of Mother Teresa and teachers. 


Thereafter, all the teachers were called on the stage and given a rose each as a sign of gratitude and thanks for all that they did for their students. After which, the students of different classes entertained their teachers with various items like koli dance, skits, film dances etc.  At the end of the programme teacher Manisha and Miss Mayuri Borde of standard XII thanked all the organizers of the day. The management organized a festive lunch for the teachers on this auspicious occasion. The lunch was served at 12:30 which was enjoyed by the teachers. The dialogue between our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the few selected students all over India that was aired at 3:00 p.m, was viewed by the Marathi primary section who had invited their students and few parents.
