LONAVLA-PUNE, SEPTEMBER 25, 2014: Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Lonavla organized an interschool 5-A-side football tournament on September 21, 2014 at Don Bosco Lonavla. This tournament was in view of the celebration of the bicentenary of the birth of Don Bosco. Few schools from Lonavla, Khandala and Pune participated in this tournament. The tournament began at 9.30 a.m with a prayer service after which the rules of the game were explained to the participants. 

The Rector of Don Bosco Lonavla, Fr. Solomon Rapol, welcomed the participants and declared the tournament open. The first match played was between Don Bosco Lonavla 'B' and Ryewood International. This match resulted in favour of Don Bosco Lonavla. The other matches saw a tough competition from the teams. The final match was played at 2.15 p.m between Don Bosco, Pune and Don Bosco, Lonavla 'B'. The game was intensely played and went in favour of Don Bosco Lonavla 'B', the result being four goals to three. 

During the presentation ceremony, Fr. Rapol thanked the organisers, referees, teams and the coaches. There was a prize given for the Best Player which was awarded to Aaron Ashirvadam and  Harsh Gadiya from Don Bosco Lonavla. The runners-up (Don Bosco Pune) and winners (Don Bosco Lonavla) were presented with trophies, medals and certificates.
