NAVI MUMBAI, AUGUST 24, 2015: Don Bosco institutions are traditionally known for their sporting prowess and Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul lived up to its top billing on the sports field, by winning titles at the Champions Trophy organised by the School 7-a-side Football Association of Raigad on August 15.


Team belonging to the under-12, under-14 and under-16 category lifted top honours in the Raigad District and Navi Mumbai Level Interschool Football Tournament.


The under-12 team beat Ryan International, Kharghar in the final, while the under -14 team beat New Horizon Public School, Panvel to win the Champions Trophy.


In the under-16 category, two teams from Don Bosco were put forth. The A-team beat Bharati Vidyapeeth, while the B-team piped Ryan International. to clash against each other in the final. 

Finally the under-16 A team emerged victorious to bag the Champions title.


The matches helped the students to develop teamwork, resilience and a spirit of good sportsmanship.


16 students, who participated in this tournament, have qualified for the Maharashtra State Football Tournament. We wish them all the very best.
