NAVI MUMBAI, DEC 28, 2015: Sanpada-based Ryan International School and Avalon Heights won top honours in the Don Bosco Decennial Year Cup football tournament, organised by Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul from December 19 to 21.


15 schools from Navi Mumbai participated in the tournament, which was held for students in the under-12, under-14 and under-16 category. The hosts performed exceptionally well and reached the finals under all the three categories, but they were beaten in the final by Ryan International School in the under-12 and under-16 categories and by Avalon Heights in the under-14 category.


Father Mechanro was the Chief Guest for the event, while Father Bonnie Borges, Father Anthony Fonseca – the principal - and the supervisors of Don Bosco in Nerul were the Guests of Honor.


The Sports Festival concluded with the prize distribution ceremony held at the school ground after the final match at 6pm. It was a success as it not only brought out the best of the participants but also reaffirmed the values infused in the students of Don Bosco schools.
