AHMEDNAGAR, MAR 7, 2016: A Lenten Recollection was organised by Father Thomas D'Costa for the Salesian Cooperators of Savedi and St. Anne's on February 27, at St. Anne's Church, Ahmednagar.

The Recollection commenced with the celebration of Holy Eucharist followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Father D'Costa in his homily spoke of the importance of kindness and mercy, especially in this Jubliee Year of Mercy.

Father D'Costa also spoke of how a Salesian Cooperator can win over a youth and draw them close to God, as Saint John Bosco did. During Adoration, the Salesian Cooperators made spontaneous prayers for one another and the province of Mumbai, before the Blessed Sacrament.

The participants included Sister Mangala along with 10 Savedi Cooperators, Aspirants and 28 Professed Salesian Cooperators of St. Anne's Unit.

The Recollection concluded with the closing prayer and Benediction by Father D'Costa. The vote of thanks was proposed by Franklin Coutinho, President of the Salesian Cooperators of St. Anne's Unit. It was followed by a time of fellowship and dinner.
