WADALA, AUGUST 12, 2008: The students from Standards V to X, of St. Joseph's High School, participated in a choral recitation - and surprisingly not in English but for the very first time in Marathi! The esteemed judges for this competition were Mrs. Marie Almeida, Headmistress of the Primary Section, and M
rs. Laila Furtado, a teacher from the Primary section, both well-versed with the language. The students of each class showed their flair for the language by reciting a Marathi poem. The recitation was enhanced by a little dramatisation. It was clearly evident that the students thoroughly enjoyed this initiative. Through such events, it is hoped that all students will develop an appreciation for the language of our state - Marathi.
