Osborn Furtado sdb PUNE, DECEMBER 20, 2008: Christmas is that special time of the 
year for giving and sharing. With this in mind, Don Bosco Youth Centre in collaboration with the AUM Foundation organized a wonderful Christmas Tree programme for the children from the slums in the vicinity. These children frequent the English classes conducted by DBYC. About 80 kids were present for this celebration, all smartly dressed in their best clothes. The programme began with a prayer, followed by a ‘Christmas Message’ given by Fr. Wilfred D’Souza. The party then got going and the children had a grand time. With games, music and fun flowing abundantly, the Christmas cheer was clearly visible. “This is the best Christmas programme I have ever attended”, remarked 12 year old Sujata. All the children received
gifts, while those children who were regular for the classes were also given special prizes. Ms. Aaban Aderrianwala, Director of AUM Foundation, along with the DBYC Brothers and Youth Volunteers planned and conducted the entire programme. Congrats to them for spreading the good tidings of Christmas to these little kids. With such a great beginning, it definitely is going to be a merry Christmas!
