Ashwin Macwan sdb PUNE, JANUARY 28, 2009: The community of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Pune organized a festive lunch for the neighbouring religious, well wishers, benefactors and friends, on January 26, as part of the celebration of the Feast of Don Bosco. Being a public holiday, many guests turned up for this event. The programme began with a sh
ort prayer service. Fr. Vincent Rasquinha, the Rector welcomed everyone and shared a few reflections on Don Bosco’s life. Through a PowerPoint presentation, some aspects of Salesian spirituality and life were highlighted. The prayer service ended with the Salesian anthem sung vigorously by all the Salesians present. Fr.Corlis Gonsalves then presented the dream behind the Salesian presence at Chinchwad and the activities being carried out at present at the Don Bosco Technical Institute. After which, all enjoyed a meal in fellowship with one another.
