BIS # 1267 A FEAST AND A FAREWELL

Joseph’s News Team WADALA, FEBRUARY 4, 2009: The feast of the Patron of Youth - Don Bosco - was celebrated on January 31, at St. Joseph’s High School with traditional grandeur and gaiety. In preparation for the feast, the students were enlightened on the life of Don Bosco, his values and teachings, through a special series of ‘Good Morning Talks’ from January 27 to 30, given by Fr. Tony Pinto, Fr. Bastin Thomas, Fr. Crispino D’Souza and Fr. N. Joy. On the feast day, the students and staff attended the solemn Mass at the 9.00 am, at the Shrine of Don Bosco's Madonna, Matunga. On the same day, the school bid farewell to the SSC students at a ceremony held in the school auditorium. In keeping with tradition, the Farewell Party was organized by the students of Std. IX. As a token of gratitude for the education received, the SSC students gave a contribution towards the Poor Boys Fund. The outgoing students were gifted a memento each as a remembrance of their years at St. Joseph's.
