Flovi D'Souza sdb SAVEDI, JUNE 9, 2009: June 8 marked the appointment of the Savedi Community with the Provincial team, who are on their annual round, around the province.
The community eagerly awaiting their arrival, welcomed the team with the traditional ‘Maharastrian Topi’ and the ‘Uparna’ at 4.00 p.m. After a quick session of tea, the team and the house council got to business. The meeting went on for over three hours with half hours break for the evening parish mass. The community meeting was followed by the larger Nagar Salesian Community meeting which took up common topics for discussion, issues concerning the Salesian work in the Nagar region. The highlight of the evening was the installation of Fr. Manuel as the Rector of the Savedi community.
