ALIRAJPUR, NOVEMBER 16, 2009: Traditionally celebrated as Children’s day, November 14, the Birthday of our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated with great pomp and entertainment.

This red letter day in the school’s calendar arrived amidst much fanfare. After the usual festivities, the later half of the day saw the XIth and XIIth standard students of the DBA organise a fete in honour of the boys and girls that attend the Village Education Programme organised by the Salesians of Don Bosco. A total of 12 different villages and 360 children participated in the event. The children were introduced to an array of games and the VEP children enjoyed themselves. This was followed by a festive lunch in which all took part.

As the day drew to a close it was well understood that it is the duty of each privileged child to help build a nation of peace and prosperity by caring for the under-privileged.
